Welcome... to NorthLight Photography! The studio is conveniently located on the edge of Charlotte's quaint Plaza-Midwood neighborhood. While our specialty is young children and families, we still love the excitement of photographing weddings - the beginning of a family's history! The most rewarding part of our work is seeing families grow and change... Getting to know the bride and groom on their wedding day, celebrating the arrival of each new member of the family and watching them grow - and ultimately go off to begin the life cycle of the family once more.

NorthLight is a true custom photography studio. We cater to your needs and want your portraits to be an artful representation of who you are. We create spontaneous moments, but that is not all, so the terms "photojournalistic" or "casual" do not fully descibe the work. Mastery of the craft of photography, experience and a true love for children and families are what it takes to capture expression and personality. These elements are present in the artistic portraiture that our clients have come to know us for. Portraits that make you laugh and cry - simply because we have caught that look, or you didn't realize you were so beautiful. The beauty. The art. The life. Janet Boschker owns Northlight Photography, established in 1994, after having worked for a leading Charlotte Studio for 11 years. She earned the Professional Photographers of America's Master degree in 1995, the Craftsman degree in 2000. 2006 brought the PPA International Affiliate Juror status and led to judging engagements on the state, regional and international levels. It continues to be her pleasure to be invited to judge, speak and share her experience in the hope that it will be helpful to another's journey in the incredible field of professional photography.
